Diploma Of Ministry  ACT Course Outline

The Diploma of Ministry pathway 1 introduces you to the Christian story and message, and provides training which emphasises application and articulation of this story and message in the contemporary world, particularly in a cross-cultural context. Pathway 1 awards will give you a greater breadth of learning compared to the same award in pathway 2. Pathway 2 will give you a greater depth of learning.  These units are available in the DipMin program. Other elective units may be chosen from those on offer each year (refer to the timetable).

Old Testament Foundations
Cultural Anthropology
Church Planting
Early New Testament Churches
Old Testament Prophets and Writings
History of Missions  / Emergence of Christianity
Theology Overview
Cross-cultural Communication
Principles and Practice of Hermeneutics
2 x Old Testament and/or New Testament Exegesis

If you have an interest in picking up a unit which is not offered at Worldview, any non-core units may be substituted for other units offered through any of the Australian College of Theology (ACT) affiliated colleges.  A number of colleges offer these by distance or intensive mode. Likewise, if you want to credit units towards a different ACT award, for example, an Advanced Diploma of Theology, this option may be available.  Contact Denise for more details.

ACT Cross Institutional Enrolment Policy

(Note that Worldview course fees are lower than the ACT fee published in course outlines)

Unless otherwise stated in the unit outline, each unit in attendance mode normally requires about 150 demand hours over the semester. This is comprised of 36 hours of contact over 7 weeks, 60 hours devoted to general non-assessable reading, and a further 60 hours devoted to assessment tasks such as essays, class presentations and reports.
