Pathway to 3 Year Bachelor Of Ministry

Pathway to 3 Year Bachelor Of Ministry

ACT Course Outline

Students who complete the two year Advanced Diploma of Ministry at Worldview may continue to the Bachelor of Ministry through the Melbourne School of Theology Wantirna campus. Fees at the Wantirna campus (domestic  and international) differ to those at Worldview.

The English language entry requirement is an IELTS overall band score of 6.5 in every band of the academic test.

The Bachelor of Ministry is a three year undergraduate program which offers excellent preparation for ministry in Australia or overseas.

The Bachelor of Ministry introduces you to the sources and content of the Christian story and message, and provides training which emphasises application and practice of this story and message in the contemporary world.

The course will require specialisation in disciplines by which knowledge of God is applied to guide Christian practice in the field of Ministry and Practice. At Worldview, this specialisation is in the area of Evangelism and Missiology (EM). The course will integrate studies in the Bible and Christian tradition with practical experience and include supervised practice based learning where appropriate.

Through elective units you can develop particular ministry skills and foundational understanding in the Bible and Christian Thought.

If you have an interest in picking up a unit which is not offered at Worldview, any non-core units may be substituted for other units offered through any of the Australian College of Theology (ACT) affiliated colleges.  A number of colleges offer these by distance or intensive mode. Likewise, if you want to credit these units towards a different ACT award, for example, a Bachelor of Theology, this option may be available.  Contact Denise for more details.
