The Applicant should:

Admission Criteria

Pathway 1 Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas (partnering with Melbourne School of Theology):

  • Candidates are normally admitted upon satisfactory completion of Year 12 in an Australian school system or equivalent. Consideration will also be given to other factors such as practical experience, maturity and motivation, and the likelihood of satisfactory completion of the academic requirements of the course.
  • Candidates who (a) have an assessable qualification that was undertaken solely in English in one of a set of prescribed countries OR (b) have experienced English in an English-speaking country for at least five (5) years are NOT required to provide proof of English language proficiency for consideration for admission to an ACT course. All other applicants MUST provide proof of English language proficiency for consideration for admission to an ACT course. Such proof will normally be by provision of the results of an IELTS test (Academic Version). For admission to pathway 1 courses, the minimum IELTS result required is 6.0 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each subtest.
  • Mature age entry is available for candidates 20 years and older.

Pathway 2 Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas and Bachelor of Ministry (partnering with Melbourne School of Theology):

  • Open to persons who have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) score of no less than 65 or its equivalent. Consideration will be given to other factors such as practical experience, maturity and motivation, and the likelihood of satisfactory completion of the academic requirements of the course. The ACT is prepared to enrol year 12 students in up to two (2) 300 level units at the discretion of the school and the particular ACT affiliated colleges. These students would not be admitted to the award, but permitted to take 300 level units, which would later be credited to an ACT award, should the student wish to continue and be permitted to enrol.
  • Candidates who (a) have an assessable qualification that was undertaken solely in English in one of a set of prescribed countries OR (b) have been a resident in Australia with English being the language spoken at home and at work for ten (10) or more years are NOT required to provide proof of English language proficiency for consideration for admission to an ACT course. All other applicants MUST provide proof of English language proficiency for consideration for admission to an ACT course. Such proof will normally be by provision of the results of an IELTS test (Academic Version). For admission to pathway 2 courses, the minimum IELTS result required is 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in each subtest.
  • Mature age entry is available for candidates 21 years and older.

English for Theology (partnering with Australia Onsung International College):

  • applicants who wish to continue to another course at Worldview must satisfy the entry requirements of those courses, except for the English language requirement.
  • Level 1: IELTS entry score of 5.0 for all individual bands
  • Level 2: IELTS entry score of 5.5 for all individual bands

Step 1: Initial enquiry

Contact Denise at Worldview at enquiry@worldview.edu.au.  Your specific questions will be answered.  You may arrange to visit Worldview for a preview week or just to drop in and chat.

The application cut off dates for the February and July 2017 intakes are the 25th January and 30th June respectively.

Step 2: Application

Students who wish to enrol in both English for Theology and an MST award must complete the AOIC application form and appropriate MST-WCIS application form (domestic or international).

Step 3: Receipt of application

Once the admissions office has received your application form (completed in full), with all reference forms, transcripts, certificates, and other documentation, your application will be reviewed by the Applications Committee.

Step 4: Offer of study

If the Applications Committee approves your application, you will receive a formal Offer of Study by email. You will need to fill out this form and return this to the college before you receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) and official Acceptance letter.

VISAS & Insurance

Please note that it is your responsibility to apply for the correct Visa, health insurance, flights, accommodation, etc in accordance with Australian Government Visa regulations. Visit the website here for more details: www.border.gov.au/Trav/Stud. However, Worldview will endeavour to support and assist you in this process.

Step 5: Enrolment and orientation

The Worldview program begins with a week of orientation to Launceston, the Worldview campus and study program. This includes obtaining student ID cards, opening bank accounts, a tour of the city and assistance to enrol children in local schools. Preschool children will attend the Worldview Play Centre.
