Application Procedure

The Applicant should:

Admission Criteria

Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas and Associate Degree (a delivery site of Melbourne School of Theology):

  • Open to persons who have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) score of no less than 65 or its equivalent.  Consideration will be given to other factors such as practical experience, maturity and motivation, and the likelihood of satisfactory completion of the academic requirements of the course.
  • Candidates who (a) have an assessable qualification that was undertaken solely in English in one of a set of prescribed countries OR (b) have been a resident in Australia with English being the language spoken at home and at work for ten (10) or more years are NOT required to provide proof of English language proficiency for consideration for admission to an MST course.  All other applicants MUST provide proof of English language proficiency for consideration for admission to an MST course.  Such proof will normally be by provision of the results of an IELTS test (Academic Version). The minimum IELTS result required is 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in each subtest.
  • Mature age entry is available for candidates 21 years and older.

Initial Enquiry

Contact our Registar, Sandra, at Worldview.  Your specific questions will be answered.  You may arrange to visit Worldview for a Taster Week or just to drop in and chat.

There are two intakes per year: February and July.  The Worldview calendar follows the Tasmanian school calendar.  The application cut off date is 5 weeks (domestic students) or 6 weeks (overseas students) before the commencement of the term of enrolment. As applications can take 3-4 weeks to process it is recommended you send your application early.

All applicants are required to submit a current national police check with their application form.  Australian applicants may obtain more information from www.afp.gov.au.

Receipt of application

Once the admissions office has received your application form (completed in full), with all reference forms, transcripts, certificates, and other documentation, your application will be reviewed by the Applications Committee.

Offer of study

If the Applications Committee approves your application, you will receive a formal Offer of Study by email. You will need to fill out this form and return this to the Registrar before you receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) and official Acceptance letter.

VISAS & Insurance

Please note that it is your responsibility to apply for the correct visa, health insurance, flights, accommodation, etc in accordance with Australian Government visa regulations. Enrolment and orientation

The Worldview program begins with orientation to Launceston, the Worldview campus and study program. This includes unit enrolment, opening bank accounts, a tour of the city and assistance to enrol children in local schools. Preschool children will attend the Worldview Play Centre.
