Graduate Certificate in Intercultural Studies

CRICOS Course code: 008162F 

This is designed for those already holding a university degree and runs parallel with the degree programme. It normally takes one year and includes an optional 3 weeks of mission experience.

 

Graduate Diploma of Intercultural Studies

CRICOS Course code: 043018A

This is designed for those already holding a university degree and runs parallel with the degree programme. It normally takes two years and includes 4 weeks of mission experience.

 

Bachelor of Intercultural Studies (Missiology)

CRICOS Course code: 033225K

A three year course that includes a 14 week overseas placement. This course is designed for those who wish to study at a higher academic level. Assessments and assignments are more rigorous than the Diploma course. The outcomes for the course are also different requiring analytical thinking and research.

Diploma of Cross-Cultural Ministry

The Diploma of Cross-cultural Ministry is a two year undergraduate program for those who desire a level of training which will enable them to become competent practitioners of cross-cultural ministry within a team environment.

The Diploma draws from the main disciplines of Biblical and Theological Studies, Culture, Anthropology, Communication Theory, and Missiology. It follows a modular format, addresses the needs of the whole person, has an emphasis on church-planting  and takes place in a multi-cultural community.

Introduction to Cross-Cultural Ministry  

Bridging English - CRICOS Course code: 062987E

 

The Introduction to Cross-cultural Ministry is a one year non-award program for those who desire an introduction to the theory and practice of cross-cultural ministry within a team environment.

The Intro to CCMin draws from the main disciplines of Biblical and Theological Studies, Culture, Anthropology, Communication Theory, and Missiology. It follows a modular format, addresses the needs of the whole person, has an emphasis on church-planting  and takes place in a multi-cultural community.

The Intro to CCMin is the first year of the Diploma of Cross-cultural Minsitry and is designed for those who are not able to undertake a full two year study program.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Course

Bridging English - CRICOS Course code: 036419J

Candidates Language & Orientation - CRICOS Course code: 025044D

A one year course (run concurrently) providing ESL tuition for international students wanting to progress to further studies at Worldview or to work with a mission agency. An overall IELTS (GT) band 4.0 is required for entry to the course.

 

Graduation Requiremts
  • Fulfilment of appropriate study requirements as outlined for each course
  • Attendance at lectures. If through sickness, pregnancy or family matters, more than 20% of lectures in any one subject are missed per semester, students will need to make up the time before awards or transcripts may be given
  • Guided reflection as per Study Guide
  • No awards or transcripts will be given without full payment of fees and clearance of all debts
  • References will be issued as per Study Guide.

 

Austudy and Youth Allowance 

Australian students are eligible for Austudy or Youth Allowance for Bachelor of Intercultural Studies (Missiology), Diploma of Cross-cultural Ministry, and Graduate Diploma courses. These are subject to the Australian Centrelink rules and conditions.
