Applicants from countries other than Australia and New Zealand may be admitted to study at Worldview Centre for Intercultural Studies, if they meet the academic requirements of Worldview and the requirements of the Commonwealth Government of Australia in regard to overseas student visas. Overseas applicants (whose mother tongue is not English) should have a good English language ability in order to benefit from the intensive training at Worldview. The acceptable minimum level from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an overall band score of 6 for the Bachelor Degree, Graduate Diploma, and Graduate Certificate. An overall band score of 5.5 is required for the Diploma course. The Australian Government wants overseas students in Australia to have a safe, enjoyable and rewarding place to study. Australia’s laws promote quality education and consumer protection for overseas students. These laws are known as the ESOS framework and they include the Education Services for Overseas (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code. Health Cover and Insurance Overseas students will be required to have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their visa in Australia. There is also a charge for government levy and insurance of fees. Health cover and insurance is arranged through Worldview Centre and is with Medibank Private.
Children's Study in Australia All children of overseas students who are studying in Australian schools are required to pay all appropriate fees involved. This is a requirement for both government and private schools. Launceston has a variety of government and private schools, with some being Christian. Community Christian Academy offers a discount to children of Worldview students.
