Governance

Worldview is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and is incorporated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission as a company limited by guarantee. As such the final legal authority is the Worldview Board of Directors. The Board oversees the governance responsibilities of Worldview.

Melbourne School of Theology (MST) is approved to deliver Australian College of Theology (ACT) courses at 41 Station Road, St Leonards, Tasmania, known as Worldview Centre for Intercultural Studies.

MST’s accredited academic program, including its site delivery at Worldview is under the governance of the MST Academic Board, which in turn is responsible to the ACT which monitors academic standards and develops academic policy.

Stephen is the branch leader for WEC International (Australia) and chair of the WEC International (Australia) Board. He was a cross cultural worker in Spain for 13 years and was branch leader for 7 of those. His background is in teaching, both music and ESL.  He has also served as youth pastor at Ulverstone Baptist church.

Stephen Brown

Stephen is an experienced senior manager in the areas of strategic planning, finance and operational management. He is currently the CEO of Launceston City Mission. His experience has been primarily gained in the community services, health, health insurance, education & training and professional accounting industries. He has been a member of a number of industry and independent Boards of mutual and not-for-profit organisations and is currently the Chair of B&E Personal Banking (Tasmania). He is also the Chair of Health Recruitment Plus, a rural workforce agency responsible for the recruitment of general practitioners and allied health professionals for Tasmania.

Dr Eleanor Chee

Eleanor is the chair of the WEC Missionary Training Colleges (MTC) Advisory Council. She is the director of mission education & training, and a company director for WEC International (Hong Kong), and was previously a director for Bethany Ministries. She is an experienced leader and teacher, serving as WEC Hong Kong branch leader and lecturing at the Missionary Training College (MTC) of Asia and MTC Tasmania for a number of years.

Daniel Misdom

Dani is Worldview’s Principal and has been a lecturer since 2014.  He is a member of WEC International after serving in Mexico alongside Pioneers staff.  Dani was formally Creative Arts Pastor at Door of Hope Christian Church in Launceston.

Dr Patricia Harrison

PhD, MDiv, ThM, MA (Intercultural Studies), MSt (Theol Ethics), MEd Studies (TESOL), Dip Ed, Dip Migrant Teaching, Grad Dip (Multicultural Ed), Grad Dip (Aboriginal Ed), BA Hons, Cert 4 (TAE), MACE (Member Australian College of Educators).

Patricia has been involved in education secular and theological; school, university and seminary, over many years. She has visited, taught or undertaken consultancy work in education and theological education in about 77 countries, on all continents, serving numerous churches, missions and aid agencies with the  Asia Theological Association and the World Evangelical Alliance Theological Commission. She has worked with Australian indigenous churches, and in the US with both Latin-American and African-American churches. Patricia presently teaches degree students online, and supervises Masters and  Doctoral thesis students for several colleges, including Harvest College Victoria, Australian College of Christian Studies Sydney, Tabor College Adelaide, Asia Grad School of Theology Singapore, and London School of Theology in partnership with the University of Middlesex.

Dr Christoph Ochs

Post Grad Cert Theo Edu, PhD Theology, Post Grad studies, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Cambridge Cert in English Language Teaching for Adults (CELTA), MA in Old Testament Theology, Semester abroad at Jerusalem University College, SIL Summer Course, BA (Hons) in Bible and Biblical Languages, Bible Certificate.

Christoph is the Worldview Academic Dean and lectures in bible and theology. He has taught and been a research assistant (Theology & Religious Studies) at the University of Nottingham, and tutored or lectured at St John’s College, Nottingham in various subjects. Christoph spent 4 years in China studying Mandarin and teaching English.

Jae Hyeong Kim

MDiv, BA (Law), Cert TESOL

Jae Hyeong is the Candidate Director and a member of the branch leadership team for WEC International (Korea). He has served as a cross-cultural worker and branch leader in South East Asia and is an ordained pastor of the Kosin Presbyterian denomination.

Neville and his wife, Elizabeth, are the WEC area directors for Oceania. They are experienced cross-cultural team and branch ministry leaders.
