Scholarships
Providing scholarships to Australian and overseas students is one of a number of measures Worldview is pursuing to meet the needs of a new generation of potential cross-cultural workers.
We would like to offer scholarships to Australian students who meet the appropriate acceptance criteria to allow them to graduate debt free.
We recognise, also, that many overseas applicants have a passion to train for cross-cultural ministry but find themselves constrained by finances.
The number of scholarships on offer changes from year to year and information will be updated on this page as scholarships become available.
Scholarship Criteria
Applicants for scholarships must:
- meet all the acceptance criteria for Worldview-Melbourne School of Theology training
- demonstrate financial need
- overseas applicants will also need to satisfy all requirements of the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection
2019 Scholarships
The following scholarships are available to applicants for the 2019 academic year.
| Sponsoring Body | For Australian Students | For Australian or Overseas Students |

Applying
Applications for scholarships will be considered by the Scholarship Committee in June for semester 2 enrolments and in November for the following academic year. Recipients will be notified promptly via email or post. An additional round of applications will be considered in March for any undesignated funds and applied to the current academic year.
New students
If you believe that you meet the scholarship criteria you are invited to send a letter (half to one page) with your Worldview application to enquiry@worldview.edu.au (or to The Registrar, P.O. Box 21, St Leonards, Tasmania 7250) explaining:
- why you need financial assistance to study
- your aspirations on completion of training (even if you do not have firm plans at this stage)
- overseas applicants should provide the name and contact details (phone, email, address) of a referee who can speak on their behalf in relation to their financial situation
- Australian applicants should include Income Details with their application using the following form.

Continuing Students
Continuing students should complete the letter as outlined above, plus attach a transcript of their studies to date. It is expected that continuing students will have maintained course progress in order to be eligible for a scholarship.
